Six Senior Basketball players stepped off their home floor for the last time Friday night in a 48-25 victory over Coopersville. Teigan Mitcham, Brittany Summerfield, Kat Krukowski, Anisa Shaw, Danielle Harrison, and Terese Jenks all left the game together with 5:20 to go in the 4th quarter ending a six year run that began for most of them and Varsity Coach Stephanie Hare in the 7th grade.
Coach Hare began her career with FHN as a student teacher and middle school basketball coach and moved along with this group all the way through their high school basketball careers.
With the decisive win on Friday the Girl’s varsity heads toward their final regular season game at Sparta on Tuesday night with an 11-8 record and in 3rd place in the O-K Blue conference.
